We Are Jane Doe started with one simple belief: survivors deserve to be heard.
When the story behind #CORNELL7 began spreading, it was clear how many people felt the same thing: frustration, solidarity, and a need to do something. We created this collection to give that feeling a voice. A hoodie or a tee can't change what happened, but it can keep the conversation going, show survivors they're not alone, and remind institutions that people are paying attention. Writting an essay is not a punishment for SA.
Why "Jane Doe"?
Jane Doe is the name given to someone whose identity is kept private. Survivors are often left unnamed and unheard. When you wear #IamJaneDoe, you're saying: I stand with you. Your story matters.
